9-European gold holder to EVC 2011!
Another celebrity coming to participate in 2011 European Veterans Championships confirmed. Ms. Valentina Popova (*1960), triple World Championships medal holder and 9 times European Champion will arrive to Liberec to compete in W 40-49 competitions. Valentina won the first of her 9 European titles in Prague 1976 and she reached clean sheet in 1984 EC in Moscow with 4 golds. She reached 6th place at 1988 Olympic in Seoul. Even in 1994, as a Slovak citizen, she succeeded to win European bronze in mixed doubles. Valentina looks forward to her first European Veteran medal and we all look forward to meet her in Liberec.
