2011 EVC Delegation welcomed at the Liberec City Hall
Liberec, June 17: EVTTC 2011 in Liberec is fast approaching. Accreditation starts on Saturday and competition halls open their doors to athletes who will compete to became continental champions in categories from 40 years up next Monday.
The ETTU executives led by Vice-president Eberhard Schöler are already in Liberec. Mr. Scholler together with his wife Diane,SCI president, accompanyied by the Event Director Mr. Milan Šimáček were received by the City Mayor of Liberec, Ms. Martina Rosenbergova at the magnificent neo-Renaissance City Hall. Mayor had not hide the admiration of the amazing number of athletes who participate the tournament: “I am thrilled that this great event takes place right in our city.” Her praise got also the organizers: “I would like to thank the organizers, who wasn´t afraid of this big project. I would also like to wish to all the participants every success and smooth championship,” said the Mayor of the city under the Ještěd mountain.
The table tennis marathon full of recordswith over 10000 matches played and about twenty thousand of Donic ball spent will have its top on Saturday, the 25th June, when the semi-finals and finals of all the categories will be played.
